One of my favorite things about 3rd grade is teaching multiplication! I love how excited my students are about learning this “big kid” math skill. I love all the elements of multiplication – starting with repeated addition, arrays, and number lines. It’s a big math unit that takes about 6 – 8 weeks to cover which is why I want to share these 10 Multiplication Resources for Teaching You Will Love!
Table of Contents
Multiplication Skip-Counting
Helping students learn and understand what multiplication is all about starts with skip-counting. If they can skip count for all numbers 1- 12 – they will have a huge advantage in learning multiplication! Print and laminate this Multiplication Skip-Counting resource and you will have it for years!
Multiplication Activities Worksheets
Worksheets get a bad rap sometimes and for good reason. If you just give your students worksheets to complete day after day – it’s not fun and it’s not effective. BUT if you use worksheets strategically – they can be a big part of your multiplication unit.
Here are a few ways I use these multiplication activity worksheets:
- homework
- bellwork
- small groups
- remediation
Multiplication Digital Activities
If you need a paperless digital multiplication practice activity for your students – this is a great one to have. Students will complete 4 activities on each Google Slide:
- Build a multiplication equation
- Write a repeated addition sentence for the equation
- Choose an array that matches the equation
- Use the Commutative Property to build a different multiplication equation with the same factors.

Multiplication Facts 1 – 12 Error Analysis
One of my most popular resources is this Multiplication Facts 1 – 12 Error Analysis set. Using math models such as arrays or equal groups, students will use error analysis to determine whether the multiplication fact is true or false. The next step is golden! They write to explain what they found and how they did it! Students love this resource because they love to find errors!

Multiplication Facts 1 – 12 Error Analysis Boom Cards
Do you use Boom Cards in your classroom? If so, this is a great digital error analysis activity that will help students build multiplication fact fluency. Want to see how these Boom Cards work? Click here to see a preview and try a sample!
Multiplication Math Centers Task Cards
Multiplication is probably the largest and longest math unit of the school year for 3rd grade. There is so much to cover and practice is important for multiplication mastery which means you will need a lot of resources – especially for math centers. This multiplication math centers resource has 5 different ways for students to practice multiplication, so I put one set in a math center every week:
- Matching arrays to multiplication equations
- Finding the missing factor
- Two equations – same product
- Number Bonds
- Repeated Addition
Multiplication – 2 Truths and a Lie Error Analysis
Kids love this multiplication activity because – again – they love to find errors! This can be used as a practice activity or a formative assessment.
Multiplication Winter Bingo
Moving around four different game boards, students will complete the bingo square by either drawing arrays, counting arrays, finding the missing number, or fact families. This fun Multiplication Bingo Game is perfect for math centers week after week!
Multiplication Review Jeopardy Game
Who loves Jeopardy? We watch it almost every night at my house. So, when I wanted to make a multiplication review game for my class – why not make it a Jeopardy game? Absolutely NO PREP is needed for this PowerPoint game (who doesn’t love that?). Your students will really enjoy reviewing multiplication with this interactive whole class activity!

Multiplication Word Problems Error Analysis
This is another error analysis resource that I love to use during the multiplication unit. The level of difficulty with error analysis – especially in word problems – is what gives this resource its rigor. If you want your 3rd graders to truly master and excel with multiplication – this resource is a must!
I hope you found one or two multiplication resources that will make your planning and prep time shorter! 10 Multiplication Resources You Will Love!
