I love this time of year and so do my students! The season is changing and they know that Halloween is coming soon! There’s the daily question of what they will dress up as on Halloween, or “Mrs. H. guess what I’m going to be for Halloween?”. They are beyond excited! For teachers however, this season can be really challenging. Keeping excited elementary kiddos engaged in learning is so hard. Fighting it will get you nowhere, so what should you do to survive this season? What engaging fall math activities will keep your students learning and focused through this crazy time?

Simply print, laminate (to use again and again), add dice, and put in a plastic bag. Your students can just grab it and play these fall and Halloween themed games!
Using fall math activities will help students engage with the holiday, but do it with rigorous and fun math centers and games through October and November!
If you want to formatively assess your students on multiplication, but aren’t sure how to go about it, check out this blog post on why and how I use formative assessments.
