Hi there!

I’m Rissa, author and creator at Teaching in the Heart of Florida. I’m passionate about creating instructional resources that engage and challenge students and give teachers their time back!

During my teaching career, I taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade and then had the opportunity to coach teachers for four years. Teaching and learning is what I love – whether it’s coaching a teacher or helping a student. I still love to see those “lightbulb moments” when a student truly gets it! My hope is that my content and resources will help you experience those magical moments with your students too!
