Welcome to The Friday 5 – 4th Edition! I’ve gathered 5 fun-interesting-enlightening-helpful-or crazy things I found this week in the world of teaching and education! Clearly, I spend way too much time online – but now you won’t have to!
Here’s what I found this week:
1. Reopening Schools: This is going to be an on-going topic for quite a while. Teachers, parents, and students are all concerned about returning to classrooms. Here are a few links to different perspectives that might help you figure out your plan of action.
2. Owl About Me – FREE Back to School Activity – This is so cute! I can see this being used in lots of grade levels!
3. Would you like your students to explore place value in different ways to strengthen their conceptual understanding? 5 Hands-On Ways to Explore Place Value in Math Centers can help!
4. Teacher Books: If you read Unshakeable by Angela Watson, you will love Fewer Things Better. If you struggle trying to do all the things as a teacher, her timely advice can help! (I don’t receive anything for this recommendation)
5. Since we all need a laugh right now…… I came across a post of funny things students have said to their teachers – I’m sure you could add a few. These three gave me an extra laugh!
I hope you found something that made you smile, something that made you think, and something that helped you! If you have any ideas you think my readers could use – please let me know!
Pin for Later!
Thanks for being here – have a wonderful weekend!
